Saddlebrooke Arizona and Worlds Greatest places list 2023

Tucson has been named one of Time’s World’s Greatest Places of 2023. The city was chosen for its history and food scene, and is one of only seven U.S. locations to make the list. Other U.S. locations to make the list were Willamette Valley, Yosemite, Bozeman,MT, Tampa, Washington,DC and Rio Grande Forest in Puerto Rico.

Referring to Tucson as “The Soul Of the Arizona Desert”and recognizing it yet again for the thriving boutique culinary scene. Tucson is highlighted as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.

Tucson has been on the top of many lists recently. It is home to one of the Worlds top ten best botanical gardens and a top ranked paved multi -recreational bike trail. Saddlebrooke, Arizona is located in the northern end of the Tucson metro area. Residents are able to enjoy the many benefits of the diverse and unique neighborhoods and restaurants in the Tucson metro region.

Tucson is home to over 25 historic neighborhoods such as Menlo Park and El Presidio, which was first inhabited around 700-900. The neighborhoods feature some of the earliest surviving examples of urban row and detached adobe houses, two styles of Spanish-Mexican architecture.The Barrio Viejo was highlighted on the Time article. Walking tours are offered by the binational nonprofit Borderlandia.

Time magazine was impressed by several unique boutique hotels including the Citizen Hotel. It is a 10 room “boutique wine hotel” with a wine cellar in the basement. Located in a historic building guests also enjoy complimentary wine tastings.

Residents and visitors to the Tucson region are able to enjoy multiple microclimates and scenic drives. The 27-mile Mount Lemmon Scenic Byway, starts out in the desert landscape about 16 miles east of Tucson, and ends up at the summit of Mount Lemmon, the highest point in the Catalina Mountains at more than 9,000 feet. A one day trip goes from cacti to cool coniferous forest all in one day.
